Design Consultancy Services
C & V has been providing civil and structural consultancy services for building from 1982. We take into account all client requirements and deliver solutions that not only meet their needs but also benefit the community while adhering to established standards.
Our design engineers use computer software to address complex structural challenges and develop cost-effective designs in compliance with the most recent industry standards. We also collaborate with architects and M&E engineers to achieve optimal results within the project timelines, whenever necessary.
Fire safety engineering
C&V Engineering Pte Ltd has extensive experience as a consulting engineer for Fire and Safety works, including internal partitions for Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional buildings. We have also been engaged by clients to obtain the necessary approvals and licenses for the storage of flammable materials in commercial and industrial premises. Additionally, we serve as a Registered Inspector for architectural works and Performance-Based Design projects.
With over 15 years of experience in Fire and Safety Engineering and a deep understanding of the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) requirements, we have earned a strong reputation for providing reliable services in this field.
Building Assessment and Inspection
C & V conducts comprehensive structural inspections across Singapore, assessing the condition of various structures and submitting detailed inspection reports to the relevant authorities. We prioritize identifying and rectifying structural defects to ensure the ongoing integrity and safety of each inspected asset. We evaluate the loading capacity and usage patterns of each structure, identify defects, determine the severity of any deterioration, and assess the surrounding environment for potential aggressive factors that could impact the structure’s condition. If defects are identified, we provide tailored solutions for repairs, ensuring long-term structural health.
Project Consultancy and Management
Having witnessed the rapid growth of Singapore from the early 1990s to the present, we have gained extensive experience in providing project management consultancy services for a wide range of projects, including Residential and Commercial developments. In many cases, we serve as both Structural Engineers and Project Consultants at key stages of the project, ensuring timely delivery and seamless execution.
Our deep knowledge and expertise in project management enable us to provide cost-efficient, reliable, and safe services that add significant value to every project we are involved with. Peer Reviewer Services
In addition to our inspection services, we are actively involved in projects as Peer Reviewers, where we evaluate the structural adequacy and efficiency of materials, particularly in fire-exposed conditions. Our engineers assess the impact of prolonged exposure to fire on structural members, ensuring that materials and designs meet the necessary safety standards and performance requirements.
This critical evaluation helps ensure that structures are capable of withstanding fire events while maintaining their integrity. Our peer review services contribute to the development of safer, more resilient buildings and infrastructure, providing valuable insights to enhance the design and material selection process
The duties to be discharged by us in the role as engineering Consultants once we are appointed for the same
Investigating available data or information relating to the project, which are relevant to the works and collaborating with other professional Advisors or Consultants appointed by the Clients or Architects.
Collection of the necessary information Client or Architect on the basic requirements of the project and the general standard it is desired to maintain.
Making preliminary study of the project and submitting a preliminary report summarizing the requirements, making recommendations on suitable system and equipment. Providing a preliminary cost estimate to facilitate approval of design proposals.
Preparing detailed tender drawings on agreed design basis.
Preparing tender documents and calling tenders in line with the proposed building schedule.
Assessing and reporting on tenders received and assisting the clients to interview prospective tenderers by making fair and appropriate recommendations.
Preparations of contract documents.
Technical supervision of works in progress including site visits and attendance at meetings as and when necessary. Advising on the general standard and conduct of the works.
Review the progress of projects, jointly with the Clients and other consultants at suitable intervals to ensure proper coordination and smooth implementation of works.
Carrying out final inspection of the works to meet the requirements of the relevant authorities.
Certifying the general correctness of the progress payment claims.
Certifying the practical completion and final completion of the works.
Coordinating with the Accredited Checker & Registered Inspectors engaged directly by the Clients for Government submissions.
